Day 2 and trust works

Here we are working a little more on trust. Freezer is not ready for me to turn and be eye to eye with him here just yet. However, an old cowboy trick that never fails... just turn your back, wait on him patiently to show up on your shoulder, and he will, then slowly start to walk away.

I don't think the horses even know why they do it, but they will follow you every time once you've let them come to the back of your shoulder on their terms. It is fun, a little exciting, and for sure amazing. It is a huge step for any horse, young or old, when they stop running around, corner to corner as far as they pen will allow them to be from you, and then slowly make their way to your backside.
